Our Puppies
    Våra valpar

Our poodle has had puppies, little, soft, black trolls,
Each puppy looks like a little shaggy ball,

And the mother has a busy time nursing her little ones,
Licking all their fur and teaching them all to walk,

The first we named Nöjder because he is always happy,
The second is Tjockis, he loves marmalade,

The third is Lillen and big he isn't,
And the girl is named Sara just like their mother,
Yes, the girl is named Sara just like their mother.

When the puppies go to eat there's a frightful race,
They jump right in the bowl and splash milk all about,

Then climb over each other, and so it all turns into
Just a regular mess of puppies, milk, and rice,
Just a regular mess of puppies, milk, and rice.

Afterward they of course need a bath, but they all see red,
Because not one of them likes to get wet,

They kick and they yelp and one, two, three, hello!
I'm lying in the tub myself while the puppies look on,

When the puppies want to play they go out hunting,
They search for my slippers, then they must be watched,

Something to shred to pieces all puppies want to have,
Their judgement may be bad but their teeth are good,

To play is sure a lot of fun but my how tired you become,
In the evening they cuddle all together and quietly sleep,

But coming from their basket at night growling can be heard,
Our puppies are then dreaming of our neighbor's big cat,
