There once was an earthworm whose name was Pelle Jöns,
He was so afraid of magpies, he was so afraid of chickens,
He was so afraid of fishermen and people searching with jars,
``Anyone who puts a worm on a hook, I call an evil person.''

So said the little worm and burrowed down,
A meter below ground and appeared no more,
Through the garden go fishermen and people and chickens,
They find many worms...but not Pelle Jöns.
